This database is a compilation of chromatographic and sensory properties of aroma compounds. The data have now been put onto the web as it could be of interest to many other people, especially flavour chemists, food scientists and others working in academia or the food and flavour industries.
The data have been split into two linked sections to improve the usefulness of the database. From both parts of the database it is possible to retrieve data on aroma compounds including chromatographic retention data, odour descriptions and odour threshold values. These two sections are:
LRI - allows searching of the database on a number of key values including compound name, LRI value and mass of compound.
Odour - allows searching odour descriptions, and lists compounds according to their odour descriptions
